Inside Sales Representative

Summary:  Supports the outside sales team by handling the day-to-day operations of quoting, ordering, and ensuring timely delivery of all products for total customer satisfaction.

Duties: The Inside Sales Representative performs the following duties:

Promote sales to existing clients.

Obtain information from client projects to help properly quote projects.

Use obtained information to create new project files and update existing files.

Estimate or quote prices, warranties, and delivery dates.

When quotes need to be reviewed before submission, information will be collaborated with the Owner or Key Account Manager.

Once projects have been quoted and tendered, follow-up and try and determine results.

Begin process of trying to secure orders (collaboration with Owner and Key Account Manager)

Consult with clients after sale to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support.

Once the order has been secured, update data base and forecast sheets to determine product requirements.

Provide weekly updates to the Owner on product requirements before ordering materials.

Review and adapt to information regarding product innovations, competitors, and market conditions.

Consult with client, engineers, or product specialists to establish product requirements.

Analyze the intended use of product and use preferences.

Determine and coordinate method of shipment for products; prepare bills of lading, custom forms, invoices, and other shipping documents.

Provides Shipping/Receiving support when Warehouse person is not available.

Communicate regularly with contacts within the organization.

Participate in regular staff meetings.

Attend training when require to develop relevant knowledge, techniques, skills and maintain proper certifications.

Adhere to all company and health & safety policies and procedures.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Working & Physical Conditions:

Office Hours are from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Employees may be required to work overtime, with paid compensation.

The Inside Sales Rep is required to sit, stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. 

While performing the duties of this job, the warehouse person is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles.

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.

Employment Requirements

2 years of experience

Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Good computer skills (Microsoft Office)

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Able to multi-task with shifting priorities

Beneficial Skills

Forklift Certification

Bilingual- French spoken

Reading architectural drawings

Worked with some form of Client Management Data base.
